The game that was supposed to release in the first half of 2026, has been delayed further and there’s a lot to know about this unexpected and unwelcomed delay. Here’s the full story!

Grand Theft Auto 6 delayed again?

Well, the news is correct. The highly anticipated fames of all times has been delayed again, leaving its audience surprised and exasperated again! Remember last week when we told you Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take Two, is about to make an announcement on Thursday 6 November at 9.30pm GMT / 4.30pm ET / 1.30pm PT. Well, the announcement is out, and it came bearing the news of further delay of the games’ release.

It’s been more than a decade, 12 years to be precise, since when GTA V was released and fans have been waiting for its successor ever since. In December 2023, the official announcement came out that GTA fans were waiting for so long. The game was formally revealed during this time, but its release date was still unknown.

Initially, the game was set to release later in 2025. But soon, the release was rescheduled for 26th May 2026. And while the fans were disheartened by the delay, they still appreciated that the game was coming out soon.

Now, the release date has been delayed further with an official confirmation by Rockstar Games through their official X (formerly Twitter) handle. According to their post, the game has been delayed to make it more polish and refined for better user expereince.

Now, Grand Theft Auto 6 is all set to release on Thursday, the 19th November 2026. That is more than a year from now. The game stars a romantically entwined pair of criminals named Jason and Lucia. They commit crimes in Rockstar Game’s sun-bleached version of Miami, Vice City, and the wider Florida-like state of Leonida. And these two criminals have permanently marked their places in the hearts of GTA fans for a long time.

Now, it will be interesting to see whether the game will see any more delays if it is released on the set date as announced by the makers. Honestly, we don’t wish any more delays to its launch. Because these delays are not only annoying the fans, but are also making them sad, as now they have to wait longer than a year to play their favorite game.
