Netflix Games: On Wednesday, the 12th November 2025, Netflix hosted an event exclusively for press, partners and guests in its Vine studio in Hollywood. The event was meant to announce its plans to renew Netflix gaming with a new gaming lineup. Here are more details related to this event.
What’s up with Netflix Games?
After releasing Netflix Gaming on TV with a list of popular games for viewers to enjoy, Netflix is all set to expand its Gaming Lineup on TV devices. But they don’t want to do it the regular way. So, they organized an event where all the attendees played the recently released Games of Netflix.
This not only allowed the attendees to get a sneak peek into the upgraded gaming library of Netflix Gaming but also allowed Netflix to understand the user experience. According to sources, doing this was crucial for Netflix as they aim to become a complete package of family entertainment.
From mobile games to now TV games, Netflix has sure come a long way! Let us see what Netflix Gaming president Alain Tascan said during the event, to understand their vision better.
“Our vision is simple. Can we make playing a game as simple as streaming a movie on a Friday using the same innovative mindset that led Netflix to transform itself from a company shipping DVDs to streaming, movies, shows and now games? I tell my team almost every day we have a golden ticket, the opportunity to reinvent the way people play games, but also engage and reengage with IP and worlds they are familiar with. So, hopefully, today you’ll see the potential of what could be games on Netflix and on TV, where the majority of our audience is.”
If you have Netflix, you have games.

What’s new among all this is that Netflix is launching a first ever experience where people can play games on their TVs using their mobile phones as controllers. While also making it very clear that this is an attempt at a new invention and not an attempt to compete with gaming controllers. Well, let’s see how things go there.
