Published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved was a first-person shooter game that created a lot of buzz during that era. The game was widely known for its action sequences where the protagonist, Master Chief, who was a super soldier, had everything under his command. He used to battle alien forces across the mysterious Halo ring world where all the action in the game takes place. Now he is back in Halo: Campaign Evolved, but this time he is not alone. The game is releasing soon as the remake of the original Halo. But this time, it will be bigger and better, and we are about to share all the details that the game promises. Let’s check out which elements of Halo: Campaign Evolved are brand new and which ones will be carried forward from the original game.
What new in the 2001 remake Halo: Campaign Evolved?
Since we are here to discuss all that the game promises in this remake, let us get straight into the details. First and foremost, like we have mentioned above, there will be two protagonists in Halo: Campaign Evolved. Unlike just one protagonist in the 2001 released Halo: Combat Evolved. The original game just had Master Chief as their primary player. But the 2026 released game will have Master Chief accompanied by Sergeant Johnson. These two will lead all the new adventures together. While some of the events will also take them to the adventures of the original game.

While this was just about the addition of a new character in the game, the storyline has more additions. The additions that make the entire game all the more interesting. Remember the original adventure of the 2001 game? Installation 04 (Alpha Halo), where humans battled aliens then everything was taken down by a flood. The good thing is, this adventure is present in the remake. Which is also a delight for the players who have played Halo: Combat Evolved. The better thing is that there will be a prequel to this story. That will make the game all the more interesting and adventurous for all the players.
The Operation: METEORITE in Halo: Campaign Evolved will introduce three missions. These three missions will be executed by our OG protagonist and the new character. Both of them will solve the decades-old problems while looking for solutions to the new challenges and adventures.
